Vulnerable communities who live close to KenGen power plants are the main focus of the KenGen Foundation’s Corporate Social Investments as they are the ones most impacted by the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of the power generation.

Our projects are founded on common challenges that communities have recognized; the interdependence of these regions’ economies; and their alignment with the regional objectives of specific county governments.

The KenGen Foundation executes run an active environmental conservation program across the country with the goal of enhancing the socioeconomic well being of communities as well as raising awareness of environmental conservation. We offer full secondary education and university scholarships to bright, but needy students from all areas where KenGen operates.
