The KenGen Foundation celebrated the commitment of all Nairobi Central Office Giver employees in a colourful ceremony held at KenGen\u2019s RBS Silo Parking Building Nairobi on Thursday 10th.<\/p>\n

\"DSC04767\"<\/a>The guest of honour Mr. Alfred Aseko, a trustee of the Foundation, and Mr. Mike Njeru, the Managing Trustee, presented more than 80 employees with Giver certificates and badges under the KenGen Giver Initiative.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the award ceremony, Mr. Aseko thanked the subscribers for signing up to the initiative and encouraged them in participating in the Company\u2019s Corporate Social Investment activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Giver Initiative is an important component in the Company\u2019s Corporate Social Investment activities. Subscribers should be proud to be involved with the Foundation\u2019s activities as a way of giving back to society\u201d, said Mr. Aseko, who is also KenGen\u2019s Chief Legal Officer.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mike Njeru, the Foundation\u2019s Managing Trustee, urged the Givers to encourage their colleagues who haven\u2019t signed up to subscribe, as the Foundation\u2019s team will be unveiling several CSI activities in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n

\"DSC04695\"<\/a>\u201cWe thank you for subscribing to the Giver Initiative\u201d, said Mike to the Nairobi Givers. \u201cWe will soon roll out several activities that you can be involved in that touch on our three pillars of environment, education, water and sanitation. Rest assured, our engagement with you has just started, and you should be ready to give your time, skills, and energy to some of our projects very soon\u201d, he added, noting that some Givers were already involved in the Foundation\u2019s Annual Mentorship Program.<\/p>\n

The Giver Initiative is part of KenGen\u2019s commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen while at the same time adding value to livelihoods.<\/p>\n

The Foundation wishes to thank all those who have signed up, and is urging those interested in making a difference to sign up through their area\u2019s HR office.<\/p>\n

The Foundation teams are holding similar ceremonies in all areas in the next 3 weeks.<\/p>\n
