Principal Secretary for Special Programs Ms. Josephta Mukobe pledges her support for the disabled during Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Primary School’s 10-year Cerebral Palsy Unit celebrations.

In a colourful ceremony graced by the Permanent Secretary for Special Programmes Ms. Josephta Mukobe and nominated Member of Parliament Hon. Isaac Mwaura, the KenGen Foundation joined Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Primary School to celebrate their 10 year Cerebral Palsy Unit Anniversary and the launch of the school’s website on 28 July.

Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Primary School, a neighbour to KenGen headquarters office is the first school in Kenya to introduce a Celebral Palsy Unit for inclusive education.

“People with disabilities face a lot of challenges”, said Ms. Mukobe. “Parents and teachers play a big role in moulding students with disabilities to face the world.
